Nawazuddin Clarifies Chitrangada Singh Shot For The Intimate Scene But Opted Out Because Of Script Issues

Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals it was not just the petticoat controversy, Chitrangada Singh had other issues with the script of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.

A lot of actresses in the tinsel town have gone bold when it comes to shooting intimate scenes. Many times several people from the film fraternity have said that it’s totally professional when it comes to filming such scenes.

But what had shocked the audience sometime back was Chitrangada Singh walking out of Kushan Nandy’s Babumoshai Bandookbaaz. She cited discomfort as the reason for doing the same, and in fact, hinted that it was a forced sex scene and had a fallout with the director.

Opening about the incident, she had earlier said in a Spotboye.com interview:

“We finished the shot and Kushan said that he didn't like it. He wanted me to lie on top of Nawaz. Now let me tell you that I was wearing a petticoat for that scene. I turned around to tell Kushan about my predicament. I told him: 'Ho toh gaya. Kyun kar raha hai aise? Please try to understand that I am wearing a petticoat. But, he was in no mood to listen and we ended up having a big, loud argument. And wait till you hear this! A few minutes later he went and told Nawaz that we had shot the intimate scene very well!! Can you beat that?”

Soon after she walked out of the film, Bidita Bag was roped in as a replacement. Now that the movie is nearing its release date, Nawaz was once again asked about the controversy. Saying that Bidita was highly professional when it came to filming intimate scenes, he revealed that Chitrangada actually had issues with the script.

“The intimate scenes had already been shot with Chitrangda Singh before she decided to walk out. She had other issues with the script because of which she decided to step away from the film,” Nawaz recently revealed in an interview with Spotboye.com.
