KTM RC 390 Capable Of Touching Speeds In Excess Of 179 Km/h

KTM has recently launched its RC 125 for European markets and has been the talk of the town ever since. The Austrian manufacturer builds and assembles its motorcycles with Bajaj Auto in India. The current Duke and RC range motorcycles have been developed and designed in India.
The Austrian based motorcycle maker has officially announced it will be launching its RC 390 and RC 200 in India on 9th of September, 2014. The motorcycle fraternity and enthusiasts have been waiting patiently for both these bikes and are in for a treat.

Today we have a video of a RC 390 hitting its top speed in International markets. However, we believe the India spec motorcycle will be faster as there are no restrictions like in European countries. The motorcycle in our video hits a top speed of 179 km/h.
Now even if we get a motorcycle that can achieve these speeds, we believe it to be more than sufficient. The RC 390 will sport a 373 cc liquid cooled single cylinder engine. It will be capable of producing 35 Nm of peak torque, along with 43.38 horsepower. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The launch for one of the most anticipated motorcycles in India is in a few days. Everyone is eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the RC 200 and RC390. KTM is promoting its RC200 as a mass volume product, while the RC 390 will be targeted to the enthusiast.
When launched KTM is expected to price its RC motorcycles higher than its Duke Models. We expect the Austrian manufacturer to price the RC 200 INR 20,000 more, while the RC 390 will be priced INR 40,000 more than its siblings. However, KTM is known for offering launch benefits and these products will get the same treatment.
